Is there a template available for the ash helper spring boards which have been used on a couple of The Router Workshop shows? The one show I recall was when they were used to hold the work to the fence while doing the 'V' groove on the edge of a plywood tabletop and half-round leaf for the solid wood edge.
The big secret in building these spring boards is the straight grain at the thin part. Otherwise just use Tin-can-Geometry and design the spring board with ball on the front and a place to clamp on the back.
