Yesterday's #WhatIsIt from Mike in PA is a 1900s nail gun from Pearson. Pour nails into the hopper and give it a shake; nails slide down the slot. The first hit to the drive pin sets the nail in position, then finish the job with a hammer. Not as effective as today's nail guns, but as Mike suggests, it likely saved a few fingers. Thanks for the item, Mike.
