Read all the items that are posted,the one about Mike's web site is a great one on blades.
I sent off for the sample pack and it was/is great set of blades.
The number 3 (in the pack) will cut 3/4" oak/walnut like butter and it will be so clean it will blow your mind.
And you're right about plywood it sucks,If you have a good band saw resaw some stock then glue it back up to what every size you want to use then use it and you be a happy scroller .
