Our CNC tech quit and we have made due for a few months, but now we are in a bind.

How do we bypass the tool changer?
We need to resurface the bed but our 2" surfacing bit is too large for the Auto Tool Changer's cylinders.
The tool changer is an AXYZ, barrel type.
When I manually change the tool it shows a "T?"

A concern of mine is that the machine will attempt a tool change then botch the changer & bit.

If you live in the Nashville area and would like to train us, let me know!

Please advise.

when you save your toolpath for your program, save it with a "single tool" post processor. make sure that you have your desired tool in the tool holder (using the manual clamp/release button), and measured. i think this should work for you... you may have to redesignate it as T1 (L110T1 command)

as always with experimental programming, have your finger on the pause button.
