Bits 'n Bobs

A couple of things I just noticed;
1) Amazon.ca (Canada) now carries Whiteside router bits, or at least a pretty decent selection of them.
2) Lee Valley's 3 wing slotting cutters are 'universal' to their brand of mounting shafts. ie any of their cutters fit any of their shafts.
...they really need to offer a wider selection of bearings to go with them though.
3) offering a set of cutters at a reduced price over buying them singly would be attractive, to me at least.

got link???
trying to navigate their website............................
I agree with the set. I bought a set of Canwood brand when House of Tools was around. They've been okay and they came with spacers and shims. If you have multiple cutters the spacers and shims are pretty much a necessity as you can do things like T & G with them then. The arbors are standard 5/16" stud for the cutters. I don't think they came with different size bearings but I'd have to go look. I bought quite a few Porter Cable arbors on ebay at fire sale prices and a bunch of cutters but I don't remember off hand what sizes I have. If you're looking for some let me know and I'll see what sizes I have and look up what I paid for them.

Thanks, Charles! I already ordered the 1/8" cutter and arbor from LV.
I thought I was off the hook for this year's 2x4 Challenge but apparently not...just delayed.
'KAPLA' Rick inspired me. I can get a couple hundred tiles plus enough material to make a storage box out of 1-8' x2x4.
CMT makes an extremely thin kerf rip blade in 8 1/4" saw blades. I think it's .07" or close to that. About a 1/16"+/-

Saves a huge amount of material in ripping down a 2x4.

He has aged a bit in the last Millennium, it will take some getting used to the added glabellar lines to his forehead.

That reminds me of a line I heard from some movie once that went something like: "I saw a guy that had been dead for three days once and he looked better than you do right now".
