I recently resurrected a vintage B&D 7616 router. It sat in a drawer for over 20 years. It screeched and overheated. I had 1 brush cap missing. Brush was held in by duct tape. I believe this caused the armature to spin off center causing excessive friction. I lubricated the bushing on the dome. I then pressed 2 O rings into the brush cap cavity, covered with a washer then back to the tape. When I hit the switch it ran like right out of the box! I would really like to complete the repair with 2 new brush covers. Online searches have been unsuccessful. Surely these caps were used on many similar products. Anyone have ideas on a parts supplier or a tool to cross reference with same brush caps? Thanks
