I have the Bosch 1617EVS with the Bosch RA1165 Router Undermount Table Base. I tried using it ,I have the lock unlocked and I screwed the adjustment as high as I could to raise it but it still was a long way from where it needed to be. I used it a few weeks ago and it came higher ...Hmm what am I missing? Thanks

Stick486 is correct, the owners manual explains your situation. Essentially there are three stop positions that are what you might call course adjustments. The rotating depth adjustment is a fine precision adjustment. Both adjustments require unlocking the main collar and undoubtedly you let the weight of the router motor to slip down to one of the other three course positions.

@Flutemaker...
center your fine adjustment before you shift to a different course setting...
also, if you force the fine adjustment too far you'll break it... we don't want to do that...
