I bough a used 4000 and the owner had 'lost' the guard/riving knife combo. I don't care about the guard part but I'd like to find a riving knife that will fit the saw. I've seen YouTube videos on fabrication of one but this is beyond my tools that I have.
Does anyone have an idea.
Thanks
Andy
From the first time I ever used a table saw (1953/4), have never used one. In fact took the one off my present saw the day I got it home (bought new). But I do not recommend you try that. I have more experience, and am very, very, careful. Never had an accident on one. But you likely would if you tried it.

I've had plenty of cut off boards fly past me by. And like the rule says "There are two types of TS operators, those that have been cut and those that will" and I would rather not join the latter.
Never had kickback either, nor been cut. Worst I've ever been hurt doing woodworking is when I got a slight cut with my pocket knife. The trick is, do not get complacent with your tools, always be slightly scared of them.
