I have an opportunity to acquire either one of these at a reasonable price. I was wondering which one might render more accurate results and provide ease of use. As I had stated in a post elsewhere, I have several acoustic panels that I plan on mounting soon. They will be mounted on all 4 walls and some on the ceiling above the mix position. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Peter

I have one (GLL 2) very much like the first one. It can shoot lines vertically, horizontally and and both, crossline, I expect is what it is called. Mine also came with an attachment for holding it and mounting it on a tripod. Very handy.

I used it to stake out level lines in my yard for filling a depression that puddled water. Used it inside my garage/shop for setting up shelf brackets, but that required clamping it to a tall ladder.

The one I have is self leveling. I expect most if not have that as I don't know how else it could function.

Thank you Rick.

I picked up the GCL2-55 this evening. I purchased it from a private individual who amazingly, took a 45 minute subway ride up to the area that I live in. The unit is brand new and I was very happy to see that the packaging had never been opened. Thank you very much for chiming in. Much appreciated. Peter
