LIke other new arrivals, I thought it appropriate to heed the advice of the forum gods and introduce myself. I'm a "late arrival" woodworker, having taken up the hobby after retiring as a college teacher. I belong to a club and share a well-equipped shop with other woodworkers. But I own my own Porter-Cable 690 with both bases. I've used the 690 for several projects (cutting mortises, as well as routing grooves, edge treatments, etc.), but recently bought a bushing set for a template routing. I want to learn about that in particular. At the same time, I'd be pleased to share with others what I've learned over the past couple of years.
