Has anyone bought one of these? I know they are more quiet, and don't have the pressure of a normal compressor, but for woodworking applications, are they functional? I'd appreciate anyone's ideas and recommendations.

I have the 6 gal. one w/ steel tank, and my cousin has the same one with the aluminum tank. You are right on both counts of super quiet and I run mine 90#-120#, what it doesn't have is the recharging rate .You can't use pneumatic drills or sanders,grinders etc. not enough air capacity. Small brad nailers work fine, I use mine for blowing things off and brad nailing/ stapling.

If I was to do it again I would buy the aluminum tank ,It doesn't rust and is noticeably lighter weight.

I sure like the less noise level, I don't jump out of my socks everytime it turns on.

I have the 8 gal, works great for nailers and staplers. I went from a noisy 30 gal to this little thing, and haven't really missed it.

The 30 gal was too big for most of what I do, and too small for everything else.

You will not believe how quiet this thing is. My only complaint is the handle is too short, but I can fix that if I get too upset about it.

I'm looking at the 4.6gal dual tank... What do u I u think about that? Big enough to blow off and run nailer?

I have the 6 gallon steel also, I didn't feel like spending the money on the aluminum at the time, it's still fairly light weight has a nice handle and wheels too. I love it and when it dies I'll get another one. I have a battery powered Brad nailer so don't shoot Brad's with it but I shoot finish nails to secure stuff to my CNC spoilboard and it keeps up just fine. I also blow off and air up my wife's suv and my pickup tires. Takes maybe 60-90 seconds to cycle and I never feel like it's a big deal. I guess if I think about I have never once while using it, thought it was taking too long or I was irritated that it wasn't​ faster.
