Are you raising using the handles, or using the above table handle?
I use the handles and there is a slight 'clunck' as the router drops down to its reasting spot.

Lets us know if that 'adjustment' make any difference.
I don't use the dust guard on my Tritons, as I work outdoors...

OK, if you can, get an exchange or refund.
I have seen that this is an uncommon problem with the Triton.
There are videos on YouTube to repair this issue.
In fact, ny second Triton, a TRB001, has that issue but I have not gotten around to pulling it apart to fix.
