Are you asking about the plug on the end of the power cord, or something else?

Standard wire colors, I presume. I'd find a plug with a cable clamp that can be cinched down on the cord, given the number of times it will be plugged and unplugged.

I've had good results wrapping tightly with electrical tape. Of course, I also try to grab the plug itself when I unplug whatever.
