Welcome John. Are you talking about replacing the entire cord with a factory replacement or just putting a new end on the old one? If just a new end then wire the black wire to the brass colored contact, the white wire to the silver colored contact, and green to green. This will keep the plug "polarized", not that that is usually important these days since almost all hand power tools are double insulated.
