There is something called an electrician's knot that keeps the cord from pulling out...used in lamps and other electrical things. Check it out if replacing the entire cord.

According to his profile, he is a retired electrician, So, I am thinking he needs to replace the factory cord at the motor connection. Just thinking. I don't want to ASSUME. That doesn't always work out. :frown:
