Here is one of my early projects. I enjoyed making this chess board. It had lots of router steps, and this was before I had a router table.

Nice looking board Rolf.
They do say it's the quiet ones to look out for! that is simply beautiful Rolf. If that was one of you're early projects, when are we to be dazzled with you're later ones?
Really nice work, Rolf !!!
Roger
Thanks everyone for the nice compliments. This board has compartments for all the pieces, which is not shown in the picture I posted.
Thanks again.

Rolf,

Just plain Beautiful!!

It appears that your squares are slightly chamfered... I LIKE it! Very NICE touch!

Thank you for showing!
Thanks Joe, yes each square are individual pieces and chamfered.
just a great job, it looks like a lot of work went into this project.
Rolf
Just beautiful. WOW!
True craftsmanship!
Do you use it?
Anyone who would take the time to build a chess board like that must love the game.
Wow, I didn't even think of making my own chess board. Great job, I'll have to try it someday.
That is a very impressive chess set, I may have to try and make something like that if get the time as it would take me while to do that ....Once again very impressive
FANTASTIC!
I can honesly say that I've never built anything so well done! Beautiful work! This was obviously well-planned and executed! Those small parts make this project a showpiece. Those of us that have worked with those small parts know the difficulty and precision!
Did I mention FANTASTIC? OPG3
Uh, whoa! That is one great looking board! Nice job!
Wow! You have rekindled my interest in chess. What a beautiful job.

(you do realize that you have the board set up wrong?)
