Nice catch David but it was close. You might build a little guard for that switch.That's far better than I expected on the replacement, Joe. You can actually take these apart and replace the bearings so I would imagine you could take it apart and make sure the bearings are seated properly w/o having to replace them.
PS - I'm still thinking about that flow indicator. For the first time in over a year of running my pump didn't start like it was supposed to. Fortunately I always check the water flow back into the tank and caught it within about 10 seconds. I remembered bumping into the control panel earlier but didn't realize I had accidentally switched off the water pump - oops!
