I was scratching my head trying to find something for my Father this year, and couldn't think of anything. I had a copy of a Scrollsaw magazine on my desk, and this project caught my eye.
Of to the scrap bin I flew in a flash, grabbed some knotty walnut, poplar and ash. It was a fun but challenging enough project, with about 35 different pieces, and as many holes that needed drilling. Finish is a mix of spray on poly and paste wax.
The hardest part was finding nylon kite string in December, the Jute I ended up using doesn't quite work as well as it should. I finished it up this morning, now off to the car for Christmas Eve dinner with the family.
