I have purchased a used Trend Airshield Pro. It needs cleaning.
My main concern is the face seal. I do not like the idea for having someone else's sweat and oils in contact with my face. Can the face seal be taken off and put into the washing machine? Any other suggestions for cleaning the face seal.
AFTER IT IS ALL SAID AND DONE...THERE IS MORE SAID THAN DONE!
When I take first aid courses and we practice cpr on the dummies they use we wipe them down with sanitary wipes that come in packets like regular hand wipes do. It wouldn't hurt to get some of those as you should probably be wiping your own sweat off on a regular basis too. Otherwise soap and water should be enough if you aren't overly concerned about what is on there.
Check out BZK wipes from Amazon. Antibiotic, but not likely to harm the rubber since wipes won't soak the material. You are really only going to need to remove the surface debris since not many organisms or virus will survive on a surface for very long. Then a light solution of soap and water after and use a couple of towels to squeeze out as much rinse water as possible.. That's likely to do the job without doing much harm.
The Trend Airshield Pro should be clean internally and externally daily, soap and water are usually adequate. It should also be check all over after every use so it doesn't get clocked with debris.
only for you Herb...
and don't forget to get back to us on how that worked out fer'ya...
