if your cam control software (or GUI) does not have a stop spindle control, another option may be to enter an "M5" code in your cut file where you want it to turn off.

maybe another Laguna user will show up with better info...

At worst case, you can edit the gcode and take out the M3 (turn spindle on) instructions.

Maybe just not power the VFD? (I assume you have one of those, if it's a router, just turn it off).

How are you creating the "tool paths" for the marker? There might be something there. Maybe a "diamond engraving" or drag knife option? Those wouldn't turn on the spindle.

You can also make a new post processor without the commands to start and stop the spindle. Save your files with it whenever you are using a drag knife, diamond engraving bit, or a marker holder.
