DeWalt... worked to death...
a trim router hasn't the attitude or the balls to perform well or for long in a table...
you are also limited on bit selection...
now a Bosch 1617 does very well and then some...

Mike...I did for a while then found it's just easier to take the Colt to the work...especially for longer pieces. When I profile a thin piece, I use an additional straight edge to make sure the bearing mates...

Unless you are dedicating it to extremely light work you will be disappointed. I remember quite a while back one or two members besides Nick tried it. One was doing light work with it and it was okay for him. Another problem using those routers is mounting them. The bolt pattern on them is too small to attach to any pre-made table inserts. Most table inserts have a 3.5 inch hole or larger which is too big for a trim router.

It will work as long as you don't ask it to do much. Bosch 1617 is great for table use.

Depends what you want to do, the two you mentioned are compact routers for small jobs, like others have said for table mounted routers you need more power, 2hp and up is for serious work.
