History made! watch the 3 video clips. Funded by the maker of the Teslar electric car

This is the first time a rocket has self-landed, vertically at a preprogrammed landing site.
It looks like it's going to crash into the Earth, then the engine fires, slows it down, and lands perfectly.

It's Space X. They've been trialing it for a few years. There's a Space X youtube channel with all the various attempts.

The reason the one a few days ago failed to land correctly was it was on a water borne landing pad and the sea was choppy. One of the arresters failed to grab a hold and the thing fell over and blew up.

I thought that capsule landed a bit hard considering it will have passengers in it at some point .
You wouldn't catch me in there as I think they've had a lot a high percentage of rockets failing for one reason or another .
Love how the first stage lands itself however
