Remember to hang onto the router good at start up if you direct wire, soft start will be gone.

I , myself would not wire around as I don't know that much about electricity. That board might have some sort of components on it that it needs to power up. After wiring around,Maybe clamp it in the vise and turn the switch on ,THEN STAND BACK EVERYONE,plug it in and see what happens.
If the lights go down and the breaker trips, just go buy a Bosch.
