That's nice and clean Tom. Was the hole in front of the blade for an "exacti-cut"? I remember that as a feature on some Sears saws. In regard to your other thread about the insert plate, it looks like there might be enough of a recess where your insert goes that you could use set screws to do the leveling. You would need a minimum of 1/8" deep, 3/16 would be better.

What is the exact I cut? I have since put it back in...a yellow plug...just don't know what it's for....

Tom the exact I cut was a visual reference for your cut line. To use it you would make a cut then with out shifting the part pull it back to the exact I cut and make a mark with a pencil on the exact I cut. Then you could use it to line up your cuts.
Very high tech for that day and age.:grin:
