Cutting Tenons with the CNC. Some tips.

As I've retired now I've had the new professors query me for advice on how to get the best results cutting joinery for student projects. I made the video about cutting 90 degree tenons a few years back but forgot about it until recently.
Biggest tip is to do a clockwise perimeter pass with a spiral upcut bit first. This sheer off the fibers rather than pushes them outward.
The video and some theory you can find on my blog HERE. I apologize for the low rez video, but it took me 3 hours to upload on my slow internet connection.
Square cut tenons were the majority of what I cut for my students. The challenging angled and compound angled joinery was where the fun was. ;)
