I use Mach4 so this may not help; in Mach4 I can program a distance of say 30", send the carriage in the Y+ direction, then measure the actual distance traveled. If it's off there's an adjustment, a Wizard built into the software, where I plug in the distance requested and the distance traveled and the software makes the compensation/changes necessary. I've done it manually to plug in the numbers but it's just as easy to use the Wizard.
