Hello all,
This is my first time posting, so bear with me. I have had the Dewalt 618 router for 3+ years with excellent results. I primarily use the router mounted in a router table. Recently i have noticed the router making strange noises while running. I decided that maybe it was time to clean out my router. When i started taking my router apart I noticed that the main bearing was spinning on its outer edge. This is the large bearing located close to the bit. My question is, if the bearing is spinning in the aluminum casting, what good is it going to do me to replace the bearing, when the new bearing is just going to spin inside the casting. Should i just get a new router or should i try to find the bearings and a new casting? Thanks, K
