Another way Dewalt is solving the 18v problem is they are having a trade up program this month. I traded in my broken 18v Dewalt got one of the new 20v drill/drivers for a lot less than what Home depot sells them for with bigger batteries.
I just drove over to the Dewalt service center near me. They have a flyer. I also upgraded to a DCF887 impact driver so now I have 4 new batteries. I would talk to a Dewalt service center. I think you can upgrade a saw as well.
