Dewalt /Trend models

Hello guys and ladies! My first post here! :)

Well. Recently bought the very impressive Dewalt DW625 3hp router for under table routing. I believe this is the same machine as the ELU 177 and Trend T10. Well, thinking of buying the Trend T5 which I believe is the same as Dewalt DW615. Only for price reason. It’s €100 cheaper in UK where I usually buy my routers (I’m Swedish btw). Regarding this machine, is it any good? My Dewalt 625 is a wonder of power and precision in my opinion and I’m impressed. Replacing a Atlas Copco ofse 1000.

Then there’s the 611 / 26204. Is that as good as the 625? Thinking well made etc.

Welcome to the forum Christian. I'll have to leave the answer to that from someone that owns those models.

I don't have one, however, I know several people here who do and think they're pretty good machines. The Trend brand being less suggests they made some changes in the design to cut off that 100 (euros?).

While looking this up, I could only find the Trend Mini, which is pretty much a toy. I think the UK has some sort of restriction on using multi-blade dado stacks, however the abilityto take on is very useful. If it doesn't have the capacity to take a wider blade or dado stack, you will be hobbled a bit. You will also want to take a look at the wattage rating to see if the motor has enough power for the work you intend to do.

I would definitely check for reviews in the UK. If it is the T5 Mini you are considering, forget it. Can you manage one more quick post, then you can post a link after that so we can see the saw here in the U.S. so we'll have a better idea which you're talking about.

The T5 seems to be a mid power 1/4” / 8 mm router, same machine as ELU mof 86. Found review here: www. trend-uk.com/en/US/trend/content/download_file.php?file=dGVzdF90NXYyX3d3LnBkZg%3D%3D

Made in Italy at Dewalts factory.

Any users of the Dewalt D26204K/DW611 combo router?

You'd better buy it before the end of March. After that the UK will not be in the EU and you will have to pay import duty and customs tax, just like when buying from the USA.

Thanks!
Since i have a business license I don’t have to pay the VAT. But yes, import duty I’ll have to pay.

Hows the comparison between 625 and 621 besides the obvious power and size differences? I’m more inclined to buy the 621 next since it seems to be a robust mid size router and what I’m after is if it’s the same quality in the precision area? IE any sloppy action plunging? I think the 625 is as good as it gets imho.
