Size is 385x370x26mm. Rough cut 6mm. Finish cut 1mm. Wood is cherry. I'm going with the stain finish on this one.

Nice, Dan! I'm always curious how long these take; this one had to be quite a while, I would think.

Another nice carving. I would not have used stain when using cherry but it really works on this piece. Well done Dan.
That carve came out nice and clean. 14 hours, wow! How big is it?
Sometimes I run a tool path on a model, and the time tells me 32 hours, I put that one on the back burner. LOL!

Have you tried calibrating the "Scale Factor" for the time estimates? I have found if you keep a log of how long all your toolpaths took to run for a while, you can figure scale factors based on types of toolpaths, that will get you a lot closer to actual cut times. Since each toolpath type has its own differences it is hard to calculate a scale factor that can be used to cover entire jobs that contain 2D/2.5D toolpaths as well as 3d toolpaths.

Sorry, I almost hijacked this thread with a long explanation. I guess this would make a good thread topic.
Very nicely don Dan.
