Here is a sign I did for a donation to a local family. Jerry DeHart had 3 young children who lost their father due to a stupid mistake. Jerry & his girlfriend were hit & Jerry was killed by a drunk driver while in his yard feeding his animals. He pushed his daughter & girlfriend out of the way while his girlfriend did have some injuries he saved their lives.

Size is approx. 10"x14" routed into maple.

Thanks no trade secret. Route, sand, seal with Deft Laquer sanding seal, brush paint with Sherwin William's acrylic enamel (I'm considering getting an air brush) let dry, sand with orbital sander & 220 grit sandpaper, then I stained it with ZAR Natural Teak stain, then once its dry I sprayed a few coats of Varathane (sp) satin Spar polyurthane (this is the first time I've used this varathane Spar

Yes this is a very sad story hope they throw the book at him. After the crash the girlfriend who was pretty busted up plus had a broken foot was trying to call 911 & the drunk was trying to take the phone from her because he didnt want the police called. Turned out he was driving without a license because it had been suspended because of... you guessed it multiple DUI's.

The sad story continues the biological mother has / has had drug issues and the kids stayed with the father almost full time.

The guy was truely a real good guy, he would get involved in anything & everything his kids were involved with. He was an avid outdoorsman, he coached baseball, was at every football, cheerleading, dance practice & game as well as every school event.
