Gary, Depending on the climate where you live, you'll probably have to find a way to roll some of your tools out of the shed and onto either a concrete pad, or a pad you make of wood. If that puts you out in the sun, work out how to put up some sort of cover. I've now expanded my two sheds by enclosing the space between them, and by hanging a roofed porch over the front of the one I use for an office. I live in the desert at about 3000 ft where the UV will burn you in 15 minutes. We used to have a couple of snows and some rain now and then, so I made the coverings solid. But you might consider a simple shade cloth cover stretched on a frame you affix to a structure with legs to support the other end.
Most of my flooring for porches are large square frames covered with 2x lumber for the floor. Simple, fairly cheap. Take a picture or two of the area around and in front of your shed so we can come up with a solution. Also what kind of climate you live in with winter and summer temps, rain, snow. Let's see what this bunch of wood geniuses come up with.
We're all pretty much tightwads so we'll keep budget in mind.
