Drum Sanding

Hi Buddy

Well to start with they are not made to be used in the router :)

Anything you chuck up in the router must be true and in well bal.and most drum sanders are not that, then you come into the speed error, most routers can't go below 8,000 rpm.

That's way to fast for a sanding drum ,unless you want to use it for a burning tool, that's if you could keep the sanding sleeve on the tool :)
It's true that you can use sanding drums in a Dremel tool but they are small in dia. the norm and made for the Dremel ,all in one bit tool, so to speak and made for light work.

So the bottom line would be don't chuck up your sanding drum in the router. :)

Bj :)
