Hi there,
I'm trying to figure out why easel isn't cutting through lexan material. My lexan is an 1/8 thick and I tried even changing the thickness to 1/2 and it still doesn't cut through. It carves the shape say half way but not completely through. I don't know much about gcode but I pasted it below. If someone can have a look and see if they see anything. Thank you

If it is 1/8" material and you have calibrated the steps correctly then it should be cutting through.

Maybe you need to check and make sure everything is set up correctly. Have you checked to make sure your X-axis and Y-axis cuts measurements are correct? Set up a design file with a square and a circle, save the gcode file, and run the file. Check to make sure the measurements are correct. Make any adjustments needed.

The best way to check the Z-axis is to use something with a known thickness(use something as thick as possible for your machine), jog your Z-axis to the spoil board, zero the Z-axis, then use g91 g0 Z(thickness of known item), check to see if the Z-axis moved the correct distance. Make any adjustments needed.

When you get everything set up and ready to go, run a test cut above your material and mark where it changes direction. Just as it makes the direction change hit the pause symbol in Easel, make a mark continue this till you have completed one full cut. I have found this to help me. Are you using a Z probe? I found this to be a big help to me when I first started out. I still use it I am changing bits in the middle of a project. I hope this may be of some help to you.
