Hello fellow woodworkers.

I'm in the process of replacing the bearings on my 177E, I've removed the lower large bearing, leaving me with the fan exposed, and everything needed to get access to the upper one, so I'm thinking all I need to do now is press the small end of the armature out of small upper bearing, however, the bearing moves easily in it's housing for about 3mm and then when I release the press everything springs back to it's original position- something is resisting any further movement and I don't know what it is, I'm reluctant to use any more pressure in case I do some unknown damage. Can anyone help.
PS. I have read previous posts here on Router Forums regarding this problem but none seem to have the same problem as I have.
Help!
