Erbaurer 1/2 inch shank

Hello, I’ve tried everything to get my router bit out of the collet but it won’t come out. I’m in desperate need of a new collet nut part except I can’t find any spare part for this brand. It’s a erbaurer er 2100, requires 1/2mm shank. If someone could help me find somewhere where I could purchase would I would gravely appreciate that

Erbaurer er 2100 is probably a Ryobi rebranded Erbaurer by Kingfisher International Products Limited
Measure the diameter of the shaft. If it is 20mm, you should be able to use a Ryobi Collet nut and collet. Camera lens Camera accessory Lens Digital camera Cameras & optics

g'day XAV, welcome to the forum.
That does not look nice.
I presume you mean a 1/2" shank. not 12mm?

The only thing I would suggest, is to clamp the collet nut in a vice (cutter hanging down, like in the photo) and drive a steel rod or large screwdriver in from the top...

Welcome. Assuming you've tried everything normal, such as tapping lightly from the side, or James suggestion. Some collets loosen, then get tight, and have to be loosened again to release the grip. If you do get the bit out, if you used any force, I would no longer trust the collet. Have you checked ereplacementparts.com? Don't run bits their full depth of the shank, you want them to have then end of the shank about an eighth of an inch shy of bottoming out. I use a half inch grommet (not an ering) to keep bits from bottoming. I have never had a bit stick.

I wondered too if & when you get the bit & collet separated, after a close inspection of both parts, if no defects are found, if you should coat the shaft of the bit & using a q-tip coat the bore of the collet with some Johnson’s Paste Wax or similar product. Give it a few minutes & polish up the waxed areas. Just my 2¢ worth, not adjusted for inflation.

Hi there’s no chance in separating the collet and nut, I’ve tried torching them, tapping them whilst it’s in a vice but I’ll take take note for next time thanks

Yeah I’ve tried all that. I can knock it down a couple of mm but then it just gets jammed. Unless I cut it the bit and drill through there’s no chance in getting it out

Because I’m new to all this do I need a specific collet for that type of nut or do you recon I could use some of my spare ones?

Although it's not instantly obvious where Erbauer tools are manufactured, they used to be manufactured in China and Taiwan by Positec Power Tools and branded Erbauer for “ScrewFix”. Positec Power Tools manufacture brands such as Bauker and WORX and we believe they are also still producing Erbauer.
