Corey that turned out just perfect, I'm eagerly awaiting you're next carving complete with photo-shoot as promised! It would also be nice if you could keep a rough tally of the hours involved. (I can hear you saying, "is this guy never satisfied") It all helps to keep the forum interesting.
I will do that Harry and thanks. I expect that this piece has about 5 hours of carving time in it all tolled. Remember, I am new at it and slow ... it did present challenges though as the grain direction working in a some what round project continually was changing so I had to keep rethinking how I was cutting on it. Painting was probably and hour and a half all tolled with finishing. It will be interesting in the future as I do more carvings how the time get's shaved for similar projects. It's kind of fun working "unplugged" for a change
