Welcome Angel. What you said isn't necessarily true about grain orientation. I have a bunch of western white pine timbers that came from a large tree that are flat grain one way and edge grain the other. It just depends on which side is up.
I’ve done the same thing Herb and use a bamboo board myself - reserving the ones I made for friends. Are we that predictable?Welcome to the forum, warning cutting boards can be addictive. I went thru my cutting board phase several years ago and had 5 of them glueing up at a time. They are so much fun to make. Everyone I knew got one before I ran out of people to give them to, some got more than one. I still have a few around the house, and I went out and bought a bamboo one, which i use. Most people don't use them anyway, just hang them on the wall. Good to have you on the forum.

Darn I was hoping to see some new designs, I just love those. They are as much fun to look at as they are to make. Some times you don't know how nice they are til the final polish when it all pops out and goes together.Signature is suspect??
