I AM SELLING THIS COMPLETE LATHE, INCLUDING ALL TOOLING, SPARE PARTS, AND OPERATING MANUALS DUE TO ADVANCED AGE AND DECLINING HEALTH.
THIS FULLY TOOLED ANTIQUE SEARS CRAFTSMAN MODEL 101-06242 CRAFTSMAN LATHE HAS A 9” SWING, AND 30” BETWEEN CENTERS. IT TURNS WOOD, BRASS, AND ALUMINUM. THIS IS FOR LOCAL PICKUP IN NORTH EAST OHIO ( NEAR AKRON) ONLY. NO SHIPPING.
I RESTORED THIS LATHE COMPLETELY ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO.
THE REBUILD INCLUDED:
ADDING A NEW ELECTRIC MOTOR.COMPLETE DIS-ASSEMBLY.SAND BLASTING ALL IRON PARTS (HEAD STOCK, TAIL STOCK, AND BED) TO REMOVE ALL PAINT AND ANY CORROSION
.HAND SCRAPING THE 2 RAIL CAST IRON LATHE BED FOR FLATNESS. SOLVENT CLEANING AND REPAINTING WITH ORIGINAL COLOR BLUE PAINT. INSTALLING NEW SEARS SPINDLE BUSHINGS & NEW OEM OIL CUPS.
THE TOOLING ITEMS INCLUDED ARE:
COMPOUND CROSS-SLIDE WITH POST TOOL HOLDER FOR METAL CUTTING. MULTIPLE FORGED STEEL CUTTING TOOL HOLDERS (LEFT, RIGHT, AND CENTER) FOR METAL CUTTING.TOOL BITS FOR CUTTING METAL.
SYHNCHONOUS 3 JAW CHUCK.
INDEPENDENT 4 JAW CHUCK. FACE PLATES IN VARIOUS DIAMETER SIZES FOR WOOD TURNING. TWO SLIDES FOR MOUNTING WOOD TURNING TOOL RESTS. MULTIPLE LENGTHS WOOD TURNING TOOL RESTS. SANDING DISC PLATE. SPUR CENTER, CUP CENTER, AND BALL BEARING CENTER. SCREW CENTER. POLISHING WHEELS AND SETUP WITH ARBORS.TWO DRIVE PULLEYS. TWO DRIVE BELTS. ORIGINAL SEARS CRAFTSMAN IRON MOTOR MOUNT.
MULTIPLE WOOD CUTTING TOOLS (GOUGES, SCRAPERS, PARTING TOOL , SET OF BEADING TOOLS, ETC.) HSS AND CARBIDE TIPPED.

I AM PREPARED TO DO BOTH (PRICE & PICS), BUT CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO MODIFY MY LISTING YET.

I FIGURED OUT HOW TO POST PHOTOS (TWICE).
I AM ASKING $1000, BUT AM FULLY OPEN TO CONSIDERING ALL OFFERS. ALSO MY SELF MADE BENCH IS A TAKE-IT-OR LEAVE IT, SINCE IT MAY NOT FIT THE BUYER'S AVAILABLE SHOP SPACE. IT WOULD NEED TO BE DIS-ASSEMBLED TO GET IT OUT OF MY BASEMENT SHOP.
