Hi All,

Newbie here. Got recommended to this forum through WoodworkingTalk.com. I'm looking forward to gaining some helpful knowledge to improve my woodworking skills with my various routers! They are such an awesome tool but VERY unforgiving if you don't handle them correctly.

Thanks again for the add!

Cheers!

Mike

Welcome from down south, on the edge of the Mojave Desert. Sounds to me like you've had some practical experience along the way. I've also done DIY most of my life, and a lot of those lessons apply to woodworking.

I'm attaching a pdf of the 17 things that accelerated my woodworking learning curve. It is long, with pictures and wide ranging. Hopefully it will help you on some choices, in particular, dust collection. I see that Stick has already posted his very useful router guides.

Welcome from West Texas. I'm into the CNC side of things but do have a router and router table for edge finishing things.

LOTS of great information here.

Wow! This is great! I'm going to def read through it. Especially the dust collection part since that's what I'm looking into next!

Thank you!

Dang, you should write a book! These are great! I'm actually going to print them out so I have them readily available!

Thanks Stick!
