I am a laser technician who should have retired years ago. I have been a woodworker all my life and have recently become totally entranced with CNC routing. Because I like to build things I decided to build my own CNC router. It will be used primarily for woodworking projects but I may try to do some aluminum maching as well.
I intend to start a thread documenting the process and I wish I had known about this forum sooner since most of the components have been purchased. Nevertheless I will try to explain my decision making process and if I goofed anywhere along the line, maybe others can learn from my (costly?) mistakes.
