Hi folks,

Am new to the forums and wanted to say Hi to everyone. Consider myself a new woodworker even though this is my 3rd attempt at it. Am not very steady handed and my eyes are a tad off due to lazy eye, plus I cannot seem to cut or measure straight for the life of me. I have seen some of the great work folks on this forum have done and it inspires me to keep at it and try to overcome. My immediate goals are a cordless tool battery charging station and a workbench.

Thanks for reading and have a great day! :)

Frank, the more you measure the more likely you are to make mistakes. This is why we use set up bars and stop blocks so the pieces come out the same size. :)

Frank, welcome to the forum. Mike's measuring suggestions are good. Direct transfer of a measure from one part to another removes reading errors. You might also consider switching to metric. It is way easier to read a metric tape.
