I'm just getting back into this hobby after a long time away. I worked with wood, metal etc with my Dad as a kid. Sadly I lost him two and half years ago and it lit a desire to come back to it. I putter around in my garage; well half of it. The wife's car is in the other half. Thanks and look forward to learning.

I just started making simple stuff for fun. (Very simple)

Tablet holder.

Welcome to the forum! When you get a minute go ahead and complete your profile with first name and location. This helps us to help you and we're a friendly bunch who like first names.

Sorry to hear about your dad but glad you're carrying on with the woodworking. Nice looking holder, post more photos when you have other projects.

Hi Wayne, welcome to the fun. Nice story about your dad. I grew up in a farmhouse built before 1913, so my dad did lots of repairs--not sure how much help I really was. I still have a 16oz Estwing hammer of his. One thing you should get right away is a dust mask, 3M makes some inexpensive ones that are OK to start with (home depo has them). You don't want to inhale sawdust!

Welcome aboard, sir.

I like the tablet holder. Neat and simple. The tablet looks like mine (Samsung Tab 10.1). What protective case do you have on it? I bought one but the protective screen makes the display look like a halogram. I am not happy with it and would like to find one that has a clear display.

Thanks. Its a Samsung 8" and the case is an IRHINO but I cut out the plastic over the screen so it won't do what yours is doing.

Welcome to the forum, Wayne.
Nice stand for the tablet. I am doing some of them for mobiles and tablets since I'll pay a visit to my daughter and granddaughters soon.
Please show more pictures related to your woodworking projects.

My wife bought a new phone case and now I'm back to building her a new stand.
