Hi all,

I have a CNC Router (basic 3018 Mini CNC router) and am using it on recycled HDPE plastic that I shred and melt into plastic sheets. I am currently using the CNC machine to make earrings which I plan to sell at local markets. Here are some of the earring designs that I have cut out with my CNC machine.

Hi Simon and welcome. Great idea and maybe you'll inspire others to try and recycle that plastic into other usable items.

Thanks everyone for your welcomes :)

That's pretty cool Simon.
Is it only HDPE that you run through the shredder?
How thin (and uniform in thichkness) can you make the new sheets of HDPE?
Currently I have HDPE, LDPE and will be looking at PP as well. I have made molds out of steel which allow me to make sheets that are 2mm, 3mm or 5mm thick. The accuracy of the thickness is pretty good (though not perfect).
