I am new to this forum. From the topics within this forum, I hope the experience of all it's members will be helpful as I have a few questions.

I have owned a Porter Cable 690 router with the fixed and plunge base for at least a dozen years. I know that if I was to do it all over again, now that I have the experience, my purchase decision would not have been any different.

I have learned most of what I know from watching the DIY television shows and what I have gotten from books on the subject.
