I'm happy to be part of your forum. I'm new to using a router have much to learn. My intent is to use it to create moldings to be used in rehab houses. The process is just now getting off the ground and, sadly, I am hitting some snags, most particularly in creating a chatter-free profile. Hopefully this matter has been addressed before but if not I welcome any advice you folks can offer.

Welcome Brian. For the best results you will need to table mount your router. The ideal method with moulding is to use feather boards to hold the wood snug against the fence and table. This ensures you will have a clean cut. This also keeps your fingers away from the bit and on your hands where they belong. Since you will be making a large quantity you should use a trick the pro's follow; start with a wide board and cut your profile on both sides, then trim them off with a table saw. This is much faster and easier to control than running small strips.
