New to the world of forums, but in woodworking since the days of pulling nails from plaster lathe so Dad and Grandfather could re-use them in their construction business. Grandfather came from generations of woodworkers in "The Old Country" as he called it. His one complaint in having us around the shop and job-site was that my brothers and I lost most of his hammer collection, much of which had come from the "Old Country". I remember the collection, mostly due to the fact that the cabinet he kept them in sagged mightily from the weight and you had to open the drawers carefully, as they had no stops. I built for many years, specializing in outdoor structures as they did, and now have a wood shop, specializing in outdoor wooden accessories for the golf industry.
