I work for The Boeing Company and build 3D models from blueprints, program and run the parts so the Engineers can set set them on fire, run over them with a forklift, drag them around the parking lot, etc etc etc. Whatever they do to test them. I also had the opportunity to program and run some Guitar necks and bodies on a sweet Probotics Fireball CNC router. I would love to borrow one for some little projects I have and I live in Bothell Washington if anyone could help me out. I currently just bought a Foxalien 3018SE, but it needs more Z travel to work for me on this job. Have fun and I will post some stuff that I dreamed up.

Welcome to the forum! Add your first name to your profile to clear the N/a in the side panel and so we'll know what to call you. Add your location to your profile, as well.

We do like photos so show us your shop, tools, projects, etc. whenever you're ready. What sort of woodworking are you planning or doing with the CNC or is it strictly for your job at Boeing?

Welcome to the forum. Love to see your work
Welcome to the Router Forums.

I built a lot of one of a kind cabinets for Boeing jets in the past. Maybe I worked on one of the jets that had parts developed from your R&D job at Boeing.

I don't know if we have anyone near Bothell Washington with a Probotix but you might find someone with a different brand machine that would be willing to give you some shop time and mentorship. There might be a difference in the control software from machine to machine but basically they all run the same.

Welcome. Looking forward to seeing what you dream up to create.
Welcome to the forum.
I use tabs to hold the Guitar neck down, so I can flip it 180 to run the back side.
