The modification is not so simple or cheap as one might hope for but this link will take you to a company that makes the "Router Raizer". They have a model that fits the plunge base of your router and might be of interest to you... but that will be up to you. http://www.routertechnologies.com/routerraizer.htm
I own one of these and use it on a different router model, it does work but I have a few "issues" with it... I have seen a lot of good reviews at amazon.com you might want to check out. I will be posting my own review here on this site in the next week or so.
