I have a phenolic router table with about 10,000th of an inch sage in its middle. I need to learn how to fix this problem. Thank you.:unsure::unsure::unsure:

10 thousandths! That is 0.0001. That is smaller than a human hair. How do you measure that? I worked in precison machining in QC and we had to use highly accurate micrometers,etc. I'm wondering how you could even see a sag that small? Could you please explain in some detail?

Hey all. seems that some have problems with fractions and decimals.
If I may try to explain.

Fractions = Decimals
1 = 1
1/2 = 0.5
1/4 = 0.25
3/4 = 0.75
1/10 = 0.1
2/10 = 1/5 = 0.2
1/100 = 0.01
1/1000 = 0.001
10/1000 = 1/100 = 0.01
100/1000 = 1/10 = 0.1(000) 0 after digit has no meaning on this side of a decimal point.

Another thing that may confuse is that over here in EU we use Comma (,) as decimal point where US uses period (.)
US 10,000.5 and EU 10.000,5

Best regards
Leif

Welcome to the forum, Joseph.

I do not see about 10,000th of an inch as a problem?

Joseph, your table is fine at that spec.

Dan, you got that backwards. Concave means the center of your cut will be shallow. Slightly convex means the cut will be a consistent depth. The patented Rousseau mounting plate is slightly convex and will work great for most people. All other plates should be as flat as possible.
